Overview
This MAGICAL Rotoroa Island southern end walk is being offered especially for a limited number of Festival participants only - EX AUCKLAND.

Closed to the public for nearly 100 years, Rotoroa Island is now a sanctuary for wildlife and home to endangered native species including kiwi, tīeke, takahē, and pāteke. Join Island Ecologists, who’ll be sharing stories on the island’s restoration as you explore the southern end of the island (with the most intensive planting), including a stunning sculpture by Chris Booth.  You will also have the chance to walk the North Tower Loop Track which takes visitors across wetlands and forest offering stunning panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf.

BYO picnic lunch.

Price includes a two hour guided walk – the rest is time for you to explore the fabulous island at your leisure.  Also includes: return ferry ticket, landing fees, island restoration contribution, $25 premium walk fee and gst. (Excl booking fee).

Depart Auckland:  08.30am (arrives Rotoroa 10.15am).  Depart Rotoroa 5.40pm (arrives Auckland 19.05pm)
