The Waiheke Walking Trust is a charitable trust (GST registered) that exists to showcase Waiheke Island as a walking destination, and to encourage and inspire people to experience walking recreation on Waiheke and neighbouring islands.
We are proud to deliver the annual Waiheke Walking Festival and are committed to ensuring its ongoing success and popularity.
In addition to the Festival, we have created the Walk Waiheke website which makes it easy to plan new walking adventures on Waiheke any time of the year.
This year’s Festival programme will be packed with ten days of new walks and crowd favorites. We look forward to seeing you on our beautiful island.
For Festival enquiries, contact Kate Michell (Festival Manager) info@waihekewalkingfestival.org
The Trustees of the Waiheke Walking Trust are David Todd (Chair), Sarah Kember, Mandy Hudson, Judy Cowie and Olly Lynch. Contact the Trustees at trustees@waihekewalkingfestival.org
We thank the Waiheke Local Board for the lasting legacy they have created with this magnificent public resource and for their financial contribution towards the costs of delivering the Waiheke Walking Festival each year.
If council and previous Waiheke Community Boards had not had the vision, commitment and drive to create the Te Ara Hura walkway network of over 100km of trails, beaches and roadways that loop the entire Island, a festival like this would not be possible.
