We want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of our sponsors and supporters, and of course to ALL OF YOU for participating and walking and loving our Festival as much as we do.

We had some great feedback and always welcome suggestions. Thanks so much to all of you who completed the survey. The winner of the Allbirds shoes is Julian Calvert. Congratulations Julian, you can choose your shoes at the Allbirds store in Britomart, Auckland.

A special thanks from the Festival team (and our walkers) to Kim Petri and all the staff at Programmed who work so hard, whip the tracks into shape for the Festival, and maintain them for us.

Our new Waiheke Community Walk

A Huge Thank You to everyone who joined us for the first Waiheke Walking Festival Community Walk on October 23rd.
We extend our thanks to Ngāti Pāoa and the Waiheke Local Board for their incredible support in making this event possible. Your dedication to fostering community connections and showcasing the beauty of Waiheke Island is truly admirable. It was amazing to see so many smiling faces and enthusiastic walkers coming together to explore the stunning trail at Onetangi Sports Park and create memories. We are immensely grateful for your participation and for being part of this wonderful community. See you next year!

Lanyards …

If you still have one of our lanyards we would love it returned to us for next year – we are trying hard to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Either post back to 11 Totara Rd, Onetangi, Waiheke Island 1081, or pop it in the letterbox if you are local – thank you so much!

A huge thanks to our wonderful new presenting partner Waiheke Wine Centre, and continued major sponsorship from Postage Stamp Wines.
When Andrew and Charlotte purchased a home on the ‘Island of Wine’, Waiheke Island, they made an exciting discovery. The land that was to become Matiatia vineyard, was in fact part of their own backyard. It was this intimate piece of land surrounded by breath-taking views that inspired the name Postage Stamp. The land is also now the home of Postage Stamp’s Marsanne Roussanne grape combination, an unconventional blend in New Zealand.
Our walkers loved their Grape to Grace walk, so thanks to the Postage Stamp Wines team for their sumptuous wines and sharing their wonderful private land through the valley of vineyards. Feedback was fabulous! Thank you.

See you all next year …

Happy walking everyone,
Your Festival Team
Vicki, Kate, Anna, Tess, Linda, Mandy, Judy, Sarah, Olly and David
Our  much loved and valued Festival Sponsors.  We couldn’t run the Festival without you!  Thank you.

We are proudly Kauri Dieback free on Waiheke Island, and the Waiheke Walking Festival is committed to keeping it that way.  Always brush and disinfect your shoes on arrival at the Kauri Dieback station at the Matiatia ferry terminal.

All walkers will also do the same at the start and end of each walk.
