The countdown begins … it’s less than a month until we welcome you to Waiheke Island and the Waiheke Walking Festival – presented by Ray White Waiheke.

November 11 is coming up fast!

Half the walks are booked already, so if you haven’t had a chance to look at our http://www.waihekewalkingfestival.org, please do check out the available walks and secure your spot.

Thank you Fullers360 – a walking discount just for you

Thanks to Fullers360 we can offer you a 10% discount on your Fullers360 return ticket to Waiheke.

If you’ve already booked a walk, then you would have received a promo code that you can use when you book your return ferry ticket to Waiheke. This can only be done online, and will be available to use one week out from the Festival.

Fullers360 are proud to be involved as major sponsor of the Waiheke Walking Festival for 2020.  They have supported us for many years and back the Festival’s goal of showcasing Waiheke Island as a spectacular walking destination.  They look forward to seeing you on the Fullers360 Te Whau Peninsula Low Tide Exploring walk on November 27, alongside some of the Fullers360 crew.

The add-on extras that you need to know about

When you book your walk, there are some great extras that really complete your walk experience with us.

Some of these make life a lot easier – like an optional charter bus.  Others are a justified reward for a big walk – like lunch at Charlie Farleys, a delectable lunch with bubbles at Batch winery after the mindfulness walk or a special dinner at Fenice for our walkers after their Scarecrow North-side Reserves Ramble.

Make sure you keep scrolling down on the walk info on our website to select these great add ons.

You’ll thank us for it!

The way a charter bus makes your life easier – even if you live on the Island!

Sometimes we have an optional charter bus on a walk, or your walk includes a charter bus.

If your charter bus starts at Matiatia, it will leave from the ferry terminal, so just find the bus with the Waiheke Walking Festival sign when you arrive.  The bus will pick up at Oneroa, Surfdale, Ostend and Onetangi before continuing on to the walk start. The bus will also stop at these points before arriving at the ferry on your return journey after the walk finishes.

One-way charter buses from the end of the walk (when public transport gets you to the walk start) will also return via these stops to the ferry terminal, plus going via the walk start point for those who drove.

You will receive exact bus stop locations and times for your walk before you arrive.

So for the sake of saving petrol, not worrying about parking and having to return to pick up your car after your walk finish, we do recommend booking a charter bus spot if it’s an option on your walk of choice. Just scroll down your walk info on the website and you’ll see the optional add-on for a bus charter.

Easy!

Happy walking everyone and we’re counting down until we see you soon.
